Naomi Kamakau-Sakugawa, DVM
Dr. Naomi "Omi" was born and raised in Captain Cook on the Big Island. She attended Colorado State University and earned her B.S. in Animal Science and then moved to Pullman, Washington to attend Washington State University where she earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine.
After graduating from WSU, she moved to Maui and has worked at a mixed animal clinic, a small animal and emergency clinic, as well as for the State (Veterinary Medical Officer for the Hawai`i Department of Agriculture) expanding her knowledge in all facets. During this time, she started her own mobile practice and has a passion for agricultural animal medicine.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her son and helping her husband with their cattle and swine operation.
